Portuguese will listen to offers for Spain international.
New Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is ready to stun Blues fans by selling playmaker Juan Mata this summer, reports Spanish newspaper Marca.
The Special One will also listen to offers for Mata’s Spain international teammate Fernando Torres.
Mourinho, 50, was reappointed Blues head-coach on Monday and one of his first actions back at Stamford Bridge has been to instruct owner Roman Abramovich to listen to offers for the Spanish duo.
While former Atletico Madrid striker Torres has struggled to justify his £50m price-tag after arriving in west London from Liverpool, Mata has been one of the club’s star performers since joining from Valencia in August 2011.
The playmaker has enjoyed a fantastic season for Chelsea this term, bagging 16 goals and 20 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions, and was widely regarded as one of the stand-out players in the Premier League.
But Mourinho reportedly considers the 25-year-old World Cup winner surplus to requirements and is ready to make his first controversial decision since re-joining the club.
Mata cost Chelsea £23.5m but the club are likely to demand at least £30m for the midfielder, which could help Mourinho fund moves for his own transfer targets.
