Tevez’s agent reportedly already in talks with Juventus.
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez is rumoured to have rejected a move to French side Monaco in order to push through a switch to Juventus.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tevez’s agent Adrian Rouco is already in Turin to discuss a move with the Italian giants, and the Serie A winners are prepared to offer him a three-year deal, as reported by Football-italia.net.
The Argentine seems set to leave England this summer, and had been in talks with Monaco with a view to signing a big money deal as he ideally wishes to keep his €10m per season wages.
However, speculation suggests that talks with the newly-promoted side have broken down, paving the way for the 29-year-old to open up discussions with Juve.
The Bianconeri have been dominant domestically over the past two years, recording back-to-back league titles. However, there is a remaining criticism that they still lack a “star player”, and if they are to succeed in Europe then they will need to break the bank to sign one.
While Fernando Llorente is set to join his new team-mates this summer, it is rumoured that Tevez may well be following suit to reinforce an attacking line-up that needs to contribute more goals.
It is debatable as to whether Tevez is the ideal man to fill that role, but nevertheless it looks as though the club have identified him as a potential signing this summer.
City had reportedly asked for Arturo Vidal to be included in the deal, but Juventus have made it clear that the Chilean international is not for sale.
