Perez insists Argentina has not asked to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says the club have not received any offers for Arsenal and Juventus target Gonzalo Higuain.
The Argentine striker has been linked with moves to the Gunners and Serie A champions this summer, and admitted on Tuesday that Arsenal would ‘suit’ his game.
Higuain has made no secret of his desire to leave the Santiago Bernabeu after a frustrating season in La Liga but Perez says he is yet to receive an offer from Arsenal or Juve for the 25-year-old.
“We have never received an offer for him and he has never told me that he wants to leave,” Perez is quoted as saying by Football Italia.
“It is not easy to leave if your club don’t want to let you go. However, Juventus are a team who we have a friendship with.
“If they are interested then we can talk. I’ll speak with the player on Sunday and then we’ll make a decision.
“If he does leave then it won’t be for economical reasons.”
Despite reported interest from the Gunners, reports in Italy says Real Madrid will discuss Higuain with the scudetto winners on 9 June.
Real are understood to value the Argentina international at close to the 30m euro mark, but Juve are unwilling to pay more than 22m euros for the forward.
