Portuguese international could be set for Old Trafford exit this summer.
Reports in the Italian media suggest that Roma have joined the race to sign Manchester United star Nani.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the capital club are set to join the likes of Juventus, Napoli and Monaco in bidding for the Portuguese international, who reportedly has a €10m price-tag.
The 26-year-old has struggled to claim a regular starting role at Old Trafford, and it is believed that manager David Moyes would be willing to sell if the offer is right.
As a result, Giallorossi sporting director Walter Sabatini is expected to travel to Manchester to discuss a move with the Premier League champions, with rumours suggesting newly appointed coach Rudi Garcia has specifically requested the player.
The pink paper also claim that Sabatini will have a busy trip to England, as he negotiates various other deals too.
It is believed that Roma would like to sign Chelsea youngster Wallace on loan, while there have been rumours that the Blues are interested in signing Italian midfielder Daniele De Rossi.
Club president James Pallotta had previously claimed that the international ace may not be off the market this summer, which has alerted Jose Mourinho.
Elsewhere, Roma are also believed to be interested in discussing a move for Manchester City right wing-back Douglas Maicon.
The former Inter star is expected to play a less significant role at the Etihad next season following the departure of Roberto Mancini, and could seal a move back to Italy.
Nevertheless, it would appear that Nani is currently at the top of the shortlist, and there is a strong possibility he could be plying his trade in Serie A come the start of the season.
