On paper it seemed like a good move to bring in the Ukranian megastar after a 127-goal career with Milan that included three seasons with 24 goals. But it didn’t quite pan out as Shevchenko scored just 9 times in 48 matches.
3. Eden Hazard, £32m, 2012
Hazard has made three-straight PFA Team of the Year squads and is coming of a Player of the Season award. He’s definitely a keeper.
