8. Mike McCarthy
McCarthy is not the best coach in the NFL, nor is he even top five. However, he knows how to get the job done and deserves credit for the development of Rodgers. He has also been known to bring out the best in players such as Matt Flynn, who struggled with every other team he played for. The Packers have consistently been one of the top offensive teams in the NFL with McCarthy at the helm. Plus, McCarthy has done an excellent job at guiding the Packers through adversity, most notably in 2010 when they won the Super Bowl despite having multiple players on injured reserve. He also led them to the playoffs last season even though Rodgers was out for nearly half the season.
7. Experience
The Packers experienced a significant amount of injuries and would have been beaten up even if Rodgers were healthy for a full season. This allowed key reserves and rookies to gain experience, and they will certainly benefit from their previous experience. Players such as Micah Hyde, Datone Jones, David Bakhtiari and Eddie Lacy are primed to take the next step in their second pro seasons. The Packers also offer plenty of veteran experience with players such as Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Josh Sitton, Clay Matthews and Tramon Williams.
