4. Hunger
This is a trait that is often overlooked when analyzing a championship team in any sport, whether it is the 1980 U.S. hockey team, 2007 New York Giants or 2011 Dallas Mavericks.
The 2010 Packers thrived on this when they were counted out by many people. The Giants, Ravens and Seahawks all had plenty of hunger in their championship seasons too. The Packers were frontrunners to win the Super Bowl for the next couple of seasons, so it was difficult for them to match their intensity from 2010. However, they should be hungry for a return to the Super Bowl now that they are viewed as underdogs to teams such as the Seahawks and 49ers. Rodgers himself will be hungry to bounce back after an injury-filled season.
3. Players returning from injury
The Packers have been one of the most injured teams in the past several years, and last year was perhaps their worst yet. Rodgers, Cobb, Matthews, Bulaga and Casey Hayward are among key players who will be returning from seasons where they missed significant time with injuries. The Packers are using GPS technology to research injuries and ensure that they do not have to endure this many injuries again. If this works out for them, the Packers will be an even more dangerous team.
