6) Mohamed Salah (Chelsea)
After attracting interest from a host of top clubs last January, it was eventually Chelsea who won the race for exciting Egyptian youngster Mohamed Salah, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Swiss side FC Basel for around £11m. Unfortunately, the 22-year-old found first-team chances limited throughout the rest of the season, appearing just 11 times in all competitions, scoring two goals. There is more to come from this highly exciting winger, who looked like one of the best emerging talents in Europe during his time in Switzerland. More chances to start games would no doubt help his cause, and hopefully he will manage to take his opportunities when they come.
