Arizona State New Mexico preview
No. 16 Arizona State improved to 3-0 with a 38-24 road victory, marking their first Pac-12 game and win of the 2014 season.
In the second quarter, the Buffaloes kept it close as they trailed 17-14. However, the Sun Devils scored a touchdown and never looked back.
Sun Devils quarterback Taylor Kelly threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns, and he added 70 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Running back D.J. Foster posted another 100-yard game as he finished with 147 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, and he added four receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown.
Jaelen Strong led the Sun Devils’ receivers with six catches, 77 yards and a touchdown.
For the Buffaloes, quarterback Sefo Liufau threw for 278 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Running back Christian Powell led the Buffaloes with 118 rushing yards on 11 carries.
Wide receiver Nelson Spruce had himself a solid game as he led the Buffaloes with seven catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns.
