16. Watford – Troy Deeney
Deeney netted 21 Championship goals last season, but he was not Watford’s only regular scorer. Odion Ighalo and Matej Vydra bagged 20 and 16 respectively. Nevertheless, Deeney is the leader and he is key to the Hornets staying up.
15. Stoke – Ryan Shawcross
Star duo Steven Nzonzi and Asmir Begovic have left this summer, but Shawcross, who is Mr Stoke City, remains. If he goes, the Potters could be in trouble.
14. Norwich – Bradley Johnson
Not the most fashionable player, but full of energy, with the ability to change the game at both ends. Johnson scored 15 goals from midfield last season.
13. Newcastle – Papiss Cisse
Cisse’s fitness record isn’t very good, but his goals return is fantastic. Without his 11 goals in 11 starts and 11 sub appearances, Newcastle would have gone down last season for sure. He will need to be on form again to save the Magpies this term.
