13. Luke Hodge (Hawthorn)
Composed and tough, he thoroughly deserved his Norm Smith Medal.
His numbers are excellent, but it’s his influence on the game that really tells the story. A genuine star.
12. Scott Pendlebury (Collingwood)
Many will say he wasn’t up to his usual standards in 2014, but there’s no doubt he was a victim of Collingwood’s overall poor performance.
The silky midfielder was still absolutely superb and if it wasn’t for him, the Magpies would have struggled even more so.
11. Jordan Lewis (Hawthorn)
Lewis enjoyed a career-best season in 2014, and was outstanding in the Grand Final.
