The 2014 World Cup is just around the corner as 32 nations from across the planet battle it out to be named the best, with hosts Brazil and champions Spain among the contenders.
As a top flight Premier League and European side Arsenal have a number of stars who will be competing at the tournament and here are five that are set to impress.
Olivier Giroud – France
The striker is likely to be competing for a place up-front for the French with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, but if the 27-year-old can continue the good early form there is every chance of a starting place.
It’s Giroud’s second season at the Emirates Stadium and the forward has found a keen eye for goal, as well as some brilliant all round team play.
