3. Jacksonville Jaguars: LB Dante Fowler Jr., Florida
A terrific athlete with speed and strength to boot, Dante Fowler is yet another piece in the Jaguars’ rebuilding project that could make the Jaguars one of the better pass rushing teams in the division.
4. Oakland Raiders: WR Amari Cooper, Alabama
The Raiders need a receiver, but the old Raiders under Al Davis would have taken WVU’s Kevin White because of his speed. The new Raiders need Amari Cooper, the winner of the Biletnikoff Award, the best receiving prospect in the draft and one capable of finally giving the team the firepower they need to make some noise in a division where they’ve been the cellar-dweller for the better part of a decade.
5. Washington Redskins: LB Vic Beasley, Clemson
A great athlete with more potential than perhaps any other defender in the draft, Beasley will replace Brian Orakpo as the pass rushing LB that the Redskins desperately need to avoid another last place finish in the NFC East.
6. New York Jets: QB Marcus Mariota, Oregon
The Jets are the only team drafting in the top 10 that have both a rookie head coach and a rookie GM. The best way to start that team-building process would be with a young QB – the Jets have already said that they need an extra QB to compete for the starting job.
7. Chicago Bears: WR Kevin White, West Virginia
After losing Brandon Marshall via trade and being predicted to lose Martellus Bennett in the near future, the Bears could use a great receiving prospect like Kevin White both to help Jay Cutler keep his wits about him, or in the long term be a consistent piece to help the Bears’ next starting QB.
