13. New Orleans Saints – Randy Gregory, DE/OLB, Nebraska
Gregory proved that he is not fully committed to football after failing multiple drug tests, but his upside will make it nearly impossible for him to fall out of the top 15. The Saints defense is looking for a bounceback season, and getting a pass rusher to take pressure off Junior Galette will only help matters.
14. Miami Dolphins – DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville
This will be the last step in giving quarterback Ryan Tannehill the best receiving corps of his career after he had to make do with Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline. Parker joins Kenny Stills and Jarvis Landry, which makes up a young group of pass catchers.
15. San Francisco 49ers – Arik Armstead, DE/DT, Oregon
The 49ers defense was gutted with the retirements of key linebackers and free agency departures of key cornerbacks, and defensive end Justin Smith needs a complement across from him. Armstead offers upside and size that will intrigue new defensive-minded head coach Jim Tomsula.
16. Houston Texans – Ereck Flowers, T, Miami
Flowers offers power and size that can make him a franchise left tackle, and the Texans are in need of blocking improvement after their offensive line declined.
17. San Diego Chargers – Andrus Peat, T, Stanford
The Chargers desperately need offensive line help, whether it is for Philip Rivers or a new quarterback. They re-signed King Dunlap and signed Orlando Franklin, but Peat was a consistent starter at Stanford who will be an instant upgrade whether on the left or right.
