2. Danny Shelton, Washington
Once all 339 pounds of Danny Shelton get moving, that body is pretty much unblockable. Danny Shelton has the strength to be a blocker-eater for the better part of the next decade. Though his speed won’t break any records, Shelton is a premier run stopper either up the middle or at the edges and his 34 bench press reps at the combine only show that he may be pound for pound the strongest defensive player in the entire draft. The lack of speed will prove to be a problem though as teams move farther and father away from running the ball up the middle and continue to increase the frequency of screens to the outside.
