1. Eric Kendricks, UCLA
Kendricks is looking to follow in his brother’s footsteps, as Mychal Kendricks is currently a starting inside linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles. The UCLA product is a tackling machine, as he came up with 149 in his senior season to go with four sacks and three interceptions.
He also won the Butkus Award, which goes to the nation’s best linebacker. Kendricks excels at defending the run and can hold his own against the pass too, and his 40 time(4.61) is enough to excite scouts as well. The only potential drawback may be his size, as he is only 6’0″ while weighing 232 pounds. His athleticism should more than make up for it though.
Projection: Late 1st round
