3. Shane Ray, Missouri
How the mighty have fallen: Once considered a top 5 pick, Shane Ray’s draft stock plummeted less than 100 hours before the NFL draft when he was caught with marijuana in his car. Teams often don’t like players who act like idiots before they even get into the NFL, regardless of how talented they are – which is why Ray falls to No. 3 on the list.
That being said, Ray was the most dominant defender in the SEC last year and spent the majority of his snaps in opposing backfields either taking down passers or tackling some of the best running backs in the SEC en route to a SEC East division title with Missouri. Though a little small for the DE position he played in college, he would likely fit like a glove as a OLB in the NFL with his speed and power.
