1. Todd Gurley, Georgia
Perhaps the best RB prospect to come out of college since Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch, Gurley is a playmaker through-and-through. As a runner he averages over 6.4 yards per carry on over 500 carries, in the return game he averages nearly 40.0 yards/return and he’s no slouch in the receiving game either with 65 catches for 615 yards and 6 TDs for his college career.
The one thing holding Gurley back from being a sure-fire top 10 pick – regardless of the NFL’s devaluation of the position – is the fact that he’s coming off a torn ACL he suffered in 2014. It takes an exceptionally strong body like Adrian Peterson to make a full recovery from such an injury with no negative impact on speed and overall performance, and yet the doctors have said that Gurley is good to go and will be ready
Projection: Top 25 overall
