Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh (Leaves for Oakland Raiders)
Suh will require at least $100 million to be re-signed like Albert Haynesworth did, except he is a proven commodity and has made the Lions defensive line arguably the best in the NFL.
They finished first in run defense in 2014. Suh came up with 36 sacks in the first five seasons of his career. It seems to be a foregone conclusion that Suh will leave Detroit, and it’s unlikely that the Lions will re-sign both of their starting defensive tackles.
The Lions have reportedly met with Fairley, and it seems likely that he’ll be re-signed. The Raiders have plenty of salary cap room now, and signing Suh would be the next big step in their rebuilding efforts.
