The Croatia international has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, however Italian newspaper Tuttosport [via Daily Express] reports the former Bayern Munich marksman is keen on a move to the Champions League finalists.
Mandzukic is believed to have a rocky relationship with Atletico boss Diego Simeone, with the Argentine understood to have allowed the 29-year-old to talk to other clubs.
However the player’s agent, Ivan Cvjetkovic, says a move away from Atletico is not certain.
“Mario was unhappy recently because he had stopped scoring and that affected him but that was also down to Atletico Madrid,” Cvjetkovic told Croatian website Tportal [via Daily Express].
“In spite of this, this Atletico side still qualified for the Champions League and won the Supercopa de Espana, so there’s no reason to think he’s totally unsatisfied.”
Mandzukic scored 12 goals in 27 La Liga appearances this season, and is also believed to have interest from AC Milan and Zenit St Petersberg meaning Juventus will face plenty of competition for the striker’s signature.
