Ohio State Kent State preview
No. 22 Ohio State had redemption on their minds following an upset at the hands of Virginia Tech, and they achieved exactly that with a 66-0 win over Kent State.
The Buckeyes took a 45-0 lead at halftime, courtesy of five touchdown passes by quarterback J.T. Barrett. He then threw his sixth and final touchdown pass of the day in the third quarter.
Barrett finished with 312 yards and six touchdowns with one interception on 23-of-30 passing to improve considerably from last week, where he threw three interceptions.
Running back Curtis Samuel led the Buckeyes with 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.
The Golden Flashes were held to 126 total yards, and quarterback Colin Reardon threw just 76 yards with two interceptions. They were also held to 47 rushing yards with only two yards per carry.
Other than Barrett’s sole interception, the Buckeyes played flawless football in an epic bounceback from last week.
