Atletico Madrid winger Arda Turan has denied reports he has signed with La Liga heavyweights Barcelona.

The 28-year-old’s agent confirmed the former Galatasaray man was looking for an exit from the Vicente Calderon this summer, with Spanish newspaper Marca yesterday reporting the Turkish international was close to inking a deal with the Catalan club.
Turan took to Twitter to deny reports he was close to signing for Barcelona on a £25m deal.
“Some reports that have appeared in the press are incorrect. I’m just on holiday and just resting,” Turan posted on his official Twitter account.

The star player has been heavily linked with a move to he Premier League with Chelsea and Manchester United and is expected to make a decision on his future on Friday.
Turan has made 127 La Liga appearances for Atletico since joining the club in 2011, scoring 13 goals.
He became the first Turk to win the La Liga in the 2013/14 season.
