According to The Guardian, both Falcao’s father and uncle both confirmed the AS Monaco striker had signed a one-year loan deal with the Blues, with it believed the deal included and option to make his stay permanent.
It means the Colombian will remain in the Premier League following his disappointing loan stint with Manchester United last season, where he scored just four times in 26 league appearances.
Falcao is believed to have accepted a major pay cut from his £265k-a-week deal to join the Blues, with it understood he has signed a £180k-a-week contract.
The 29-year-old has endured a poor run of form since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in a French Cup tie almost two years ago.
However, the Colombia skipper will be hoping Jose Mourinho can help him reach the level that saw him become one of Europe’s most feared strikers during his time with FC Porto and Atletico Madrid.
