The Turkish international has been linked to a host of other top European clubs, however TRT Spor [via Turkish-Football] reports that a deal has been agreed with United and a transfer is “imminent”.
Metro on Tuesday reported United had agreed to trigger the former Galatasaray man’s £29.2m release clause, and it now seems that a salary has been agreed between Turan and the Red Devils.
Turan is understood to also have interest from Barcelona, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, and despite the reports it’s suggested that this deal is a long way from done.
The 28-year-old will make a decision on his future by Friday, according to The Guardian.
Turan has made 127 La Liga appearances for Atletico since joining the club in 2011, scoring 13 goals.
He became the first Turk to win the La Liga in the 2013/14 season.
