Liverpool manager hints at plans for January transfer window.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says he has not thought about bringing Andy Carroll back to Anfield – despite his current selection crisis up front – but could bring another player to the club in January.
Italian striker Fabio Borini was ruled out of action for three months with a metatarsal injury, leaving Luis Suarez as the only senior striker in the squad.
“It isn’t something I have considered, to be honest,” dismissed Rodgers regarding a recall to Liverpool for Carroll, who has been on loan at West Ham United this season.
Carroll seems to have no future in Liverpool’s team under Brendan Rodgers, who favours a short passing game, but concerned Reds fans should not worry too much.
Rodgers did hint he could sign a different striker in January.
“In January if we bring someone in it may not be the 1st January, so that is something which, over time, I need to assess and we’ll look to manage the squad,” he concluded.
What striker should Liverpool sign in the January transfer window?
