PSG chairman Nasser el-Khelaifi has played down speculation linking his club with a record-breaking move for Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, reports Sky Sports.
Reports had suggested that the mega-rich Parisiens were plotting a €100m (£80.3m) bid for the Portuguese player and also wanted to lure Real boss Jose Mourinho to France.
The former Man United forward hinted earlier in the season that he wasn’t entirely happy at the Santiago Bernebue, admitting he was ‘sad’ despite a phenomenal goal-scoring record that has seen the 27-year-old net over 120 goals in just 110 league appearances for Los Blancos.
Ronaldo is yet to comment on speculation that he could join the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva at PSG in January but El-Khelaifi played down the likelihood of a deal.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is a Real Madrid player,” said the Qatari billionaire.
“I have not contacted his club, and no-one has contacted me about him.”
