Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas says he has no interest in selling or loaning out unsettled striker Emmanuel Adebayor, reports Sky Sports.
The Togolese striker is yet to start a game under Villas-Boas since his £5m move from Man City this summer, despite netting 17 times whilst on loan at White Hart Lane last term.
Adebayor has watched from the sidelines as Villas-Boas’ preferred choice, Jermain Defoe, made a strong start to the season, bagging 5 goals.
Some reports have suggested that the 28-year-old former Arsenal forward will demand a transfer in January, but Villas-Boas says he is not keen to move Adebayor on.
“Certainly there is no interest in selling or loaning Adebayor,” insisted the Portuguese.
“We brought him in this season, unfortunately for him it hasn’t worked out in terms of injuries.
“We have full belied in Adebayor, he is one of the greatest strikers in the world. Sooner or later he is going to be back in the squad.”
