The Reds spent a fortune on summer transfers to replace the talent they lost, but they’re not done yet.
Barcelona winger Adama Traore has been a hot target for Liverpool this summer, and the Reds appear to be a lot closer to landing the young starlet.
According to the Metro, the 19-year-old Adama Traore is convinced that he will be making the transfer to Liverpool at one point or another, with an approximately £4.2 million transfer bid expected to be accepted by the La Liga champs.
Liverpool will have beaten off stiff competition from Premier League foes Everton and Aston Villa in order to secure the Spanish Under-19 ace and are expected to bring Traore in for a medical within the next few days.
Traore has played the majority of his senior career for Barcelona B with several appearances for the Barcelona main team, including a goal during the Copa del Ray.
Liverpool have been trying hard to stockpile young talent in the middle of the field to make up for the loss of superstar Raheem Sterling. Securing Traore will give Brendan Rodgers his 7th transfer of the summer.
