Everton was beaten so badly by Man City that John Stones doesn’t seem to want to play for them anymore…
After losing 0-2 at home to Manchester City, Everton’s poor performance may have chased star defender John Stones into the loving arms of Jose Mourinho.
According to the Metro, John Stones has submitted a transfer request to Everton chairman Bill Kenwright to allow him to join Chelsea – the team that has had several substantial bids for the defensive ace rejected already this summer.
Everton were quick to reject bids of £20 million, £26 million, and £30 million from Chelsea over the course of July and August for the 21-year-old Englishman.
The Express reported that Chelsea were planning on weighing up £36 million bid for their next shot at John Stones.
The move would no doubt come as a massive boon for Chelsea, who were delighted to see newly-acquired winger Pedro score a goal and record an assist in his debut match with the team just days after making a transfer from Barcelona.
Stones was a nominee for the 2014 Golden Boy award, losing out to Raheem Sterling. He is seen by many Chelsea fans as a perfect fit to eventually replace John Terry.
