In a day with several blowouts, a pair of incredible upsets over SEC powerhouses and a gift-wrapped win to a top National Title contender, several teams and players stood out from the rest.
Here are the biggest winners from Week 4 of the college football season:
Indiana Hoosiers – The Hoosiers had the second biggest upset of the weekend, taking down the previously undefeated #18 Missouri Tigers. The win seemed to come out of nowhere since it was on the road following a heart breaking loss to Bowling Green (a team that gave up 68 points to Big Ten rival Wisconsin).

Melvin Gordon – With 5 TDs in a Wisconsin win over Bowling Green, Melvin Gordon made his name known around the world. 253 yards and 5 TDs on only 13 carries! That’s a Heisman Trophy worthy performance.
Michigan State – The loss to Oregon made the Spartans even angrier than anticipated, smacking around Eastern Michigan to the tune of a 73-14 blowout.
Mississippi State – With arguably the biggest upset of the season so far, the unranked Mississippi State Bulldogs upset the #8 ranked LSU Tigers with a 34-29 victory that wasn’t as close as the final score indicates. With games against Texas A&M and Auburn in the next two weeks, Miss. State can establish itself as a major contender in the bowl picture,
