1) The Belgian scoring machine, Christian Benteke
Last year, Liverpool did not have a single player reach the double-digit mark in the Premier League – and their two leading scorers, Gerrard and Sterling, are no longer even with the team.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, people of all ages, allow me to introduce former Aston Villa saviour Christian Benteke; a 24-year-old Belgian striker with 42 goals in the last three seasons, for a club that has finished no better than 15th in each of those years.
Benteke finished the 2014-15 season with 13 goals, 15 including FA Cup matches, April Player of the Month honors and a hat-trick to his name.
We saw Benteke almost single-handedly lift Villa out of the dangerous waters of relegation. If he can do that for a talent-barren team like the one at Villa Park, Liverpool fans should be excited about what he can do at Anfield.
