There were many sceptics when Louis van Gaal chose Daley Blind as Chris Smalling’s centre-back partner at the start of the season, but the Dutchman has coped very well to help United to three clean sheets.
Christian Benteke will probably represent Blind’s toughest test yet. The Belgian is an aerial powerhouse and Liverpool may look to expose the United utility man’s lack of strength and height.
