#3 Phil Jones and Luke Shaw keep the defence on lockdown
Man United have Shaw ready to explode after a year of settling in, while Jones is set for another strong year mentoring the club’s young defence. Last year the Man United rearguard conceded just 37 goals – the fourth fewest in the Premier League and fewer than Man City and Liverpool. Had the attack been able to net 5-10 more goals last season, they probably would’ve finished in the top 2, maybe even challenged Chelsea for the main crown.
Anyway, the Man United defence is back in full force and regardless of who the goalkeeper is next year, Red Devils fans should expect a fair amount of clean sheets.
