Berahino’s integration back into the West Bromwich Albion team will be even more difficult after the player tweeted that he would never play for Jeremy Peace again. The Baggies chairman rejected four bids for him from Tottenham Hotspur despite manager Tony Pulis wanting Berahino to be sold.

The strained relationship between the two clubs could scupper a January deal, although the 22-year-old’s contract has only two years remaining and Albion may have to cash in if Berahino remains unsettled.
