Arsenal have been linked with a plethora of players this summer transfer window, and with Arsene Wenger combining a pundit position on French television with World Cup scouting, we’ve elected to help him with his job.
Guillermo Ochoa (free agent and MEXICO)
Guillermo Ochoa made 5 saves against Brazil in Mexico’s second game – more than any other goalkeeper in a match at the 2014 FIFA World Cup so far. Having run down his contract at Ligue 1 side AC Ajaccio following their relegation, he is available on a free transfer this summer.
With Arsenal requiring a goalkeeper to provide competition to Wojciech Szczesny after losing Lukasz Fabianski to Swansea and Emiliano Viviano’s loan expired, and Ochoa could be a fine – and cheap – acquisition.
