The press from Portugal and England conflicts on where Dier is going.
Sporting Lisbon defender Eric Dier has emerged as a transfer target for a number of top Premier League sides including Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Dier is a product of the Sporting youth academy but has English nationality and according to the Daily Mail the Blues are leading the chase for the 19-year-old.
Yet reports in Portugal are in contrast to the English newspaper and Record insists that Spurs are the club that are closing in on the centre-back and will offer €5m.

However, Sport Witness believe that the Red Devils will take Tottenham all the way to the wire for Dier and new manager David Moyes knows the Englishman well from the 18 months the teenager spent on-loan at former club Everton.
Although the defender was less than impressive at Goodison Park and failed to make an appearance for the first team, since then the England under-21 international has broken into Sporting’s senior side and made 12 Primeira Liga starts last term.
Dier is something of a utility man as although the Cheltenham-born wonderkid usually plays in central defence, the starlet can also operate at right-back and defensive midfield.
Having played in Portugal for all of the defender’s senior career, Dier is something of an unknown entity in England but has appeared for the national side at every level up until the under-21s.
