According to a report from ProFootballTalk.com, Jenkins has been granted immunity by the prosecution in the prosecution’s case for the murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd allegedly at the hands of Aaron Hernandez.
Jenkins was reportedly going to be indicted for perjury after she lied to the grand jury before the trial began. The immunity deal and Jenkins’ testimony will reveal any details of what happened before and after Lloyd’s body was found in an industrial park near Hernandez’s home.
Although they were engaged to be married and had a child together, Hernandez and Jenkins were not married, which means that the spousal privilege will not apply and Jenkins can testify without legal impediment.
