Giant Swede will not be returning to Italy this summer after all.
AC Milan have ruled out the possibility of bringing Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to San Siro at the end of the season, according to reports on Sky Sports.
The skilful Sweden international only left the Rossoneri last summer to join the big-spending Ligue 1 outfit in a deal worth a reported 20 million euros.
However, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has said that the Serie A giants have no intention whatsoever of trying to re-sign the 31-year-old this summer, despite his impressive form to date in the French capital.
Ibra has been the inspiration behind Carlo Ancelotti side’s surge to the top of the Ligue 1 standings, with the Parisians now on the verge of winning the title, while they also recently reached the last eight of the Uefa Champions League, only to cruelly lose on away goals to FC Barcelona.
And, Ibrahimovic has netted 26 goals in just 28 league matches so far for PSG.
