Dutchman says Rossoneri confident of win against Torino on Saturday.
AC Milan star Nigel De Jong believes it will be easy for Kaka to settle at the club, while he also insists that he is one of many leaders in the squad.
The Rossoneri moved to bring in both Kaka and Alessandro Matri in the last week of the transfer window, and subsequently the duo are expected to be behind in terms of match fitness.
Nevertheless, De Jong has revealed his belief that while they are working hard in training to work on their fitness levels, it is easy to settle at the club as each player is aware of what is required of them.
“It is easy for any player to fit into this squad because everybody knows their role here,” he told Milan Channel as reported by Football Italia.
“Kaka and Matri both need to find a bit of match fitness, but they are working hard in training.
“We are strong as a team, it is just a shame that we have a few injuries at this point of the season. But they will soon be back.
“The team is in good shape and we are going for the win at Torino on Saturday.”
The 28-year-old was also questioned on whether he felt that he had more responsibility on his shoulders this season, as he is now growing into a leader of the squad.
Having fully recovered from rupturing his Achilles last year, the Dutchman has impressed in pre-season and in the competitive games he has featured in thus far, but reveals that he is just one of many leaders at Milan.
“It’s hard to say whether I am or not,” he responded. “To be honest, that is something for my teammates to comment on.
“Perhaps there is more than one in this squad…,” he concluded.
While fellow midfielder Riccardo Montolivo was handed the captain’s armband at the start of the campaign, the likes of Christian Abbiati and Kaka have also been appointed vice-captains as a result of their leadership skills.
