AC Milan have rubbished rumours linking star striker Mario Balotelli with a summer exit…
AC Milan President Silvio Berlusconi has warned Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea that 23-year old Italian international striker Mario Balotelli will not be a granted a move back to England, reports the Metro.
The Metro reports that AC Milan are keen to keep the mercurial striker after having recently signed him from Manchester City about 18 months ago, and feel that they could still provide him with a big enough platform to excel despite their recent struggle in Serie A.
Speaking about Milan’s stance on Balotelli, Berlusconi said, “AC Milan must return to have a lead role in Italy, in Europe and in the world. Balotelli? I believe that he will stay and will be part of the new team.”
Balotelli though is believed to be unsettled in Milan due to the racist comments hurled at him continuously, and it will be interesting to see how he will react if he is not permitted to return to the Premier League. Balotelli scored 30 goals in 80 games for Manchester City before moving back to Italy, and is considered to be a top target for both Arsenal and Chelsea, who want to bolster their strike force significantly for next season.
