Rossoneri president rules out rule out Balotelli bid.
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has ruled out a January raid for Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli.
Berlusconi told Radio Radio: “Balotelli, as I have said on other occasions, doesn’t convince me as a man.”
With Balotelli seemingly out of the picture, Berlusconi has also responded to reports linking Milan with approaches for a number of other strikers – including Roma’s Mattia Destro and Pablo Osvaldo and former Chelsea forward Didier Drogba, who is now turning out for Shanghai Shenhua.
He added: “Destro and Osvaldo? I would certainly take Destro at Milan, while Osvaldo does not fit within the age parameters we have set out to build a young team.
“The same goes for Drogba. He is 34 and would not fit in with our young player approach.”

It’s quite something when Silvio Berlusconi, perhaps one of the most morally corrupt men in modern political history, is not convinced by someone ‘as a man’.
But the TV mogul and AC Milan president might have a point about “Mad Cap” Mario Balotelli, who was busy attacking his boss and mentor, Roberto Mancini, while Berlusconi was being interviewed.
Balotelli undoubtedly has prodigious talent, with Mancini himself stating that he could be amongst the best players in the world if he trained harder.
But Balotelli is so lazy and temperamental that he rarely gets the opportunity to showcase the kind of form he briefly showed for Italy at Euro 2012. Never has the term ‘wasted talent’ been more appropriate.
Following his bust-up with Mancini, it seems inevitable that he will leave the Etihad Stadium in January but there won’t be many top bosses in Europe who fancy taking a chance on the 22-year-old.
Balotelli is a character, an entertainer and a believer in his own ability but its tricky to see the striker accepting an offer from a smaller club than City. It’s a shame because regular first team football plus a dose of humility is exactly what he needs.
