Taylor Walker will remain at the Adelaide Crows until at least the end of the 2018 season after signing a contract extension.
The 24-year-old was already contracted for next season and has agreed to extend his stay at the club for a further three seasons.
There had been speculation that Walker would put himself on the free market at the end of 2015, however he says he is happy he is now able to concentrate solely on his football.
“I love the club and in particular this playing group, and have great confidence about the future,” Walker told the club’s website.
“My best footy is definitely ahead of me and I start this pre-season in great shape.
“This announcement has been in the pipeline for a long time, and I am pleased to have it sorted so I can concentrate on my footy.”
Adelaide senior coach Phil Walsh said he was excited to see Walker develop at the Crows.
“Taylor is a genuine team-first player who has a positive impact on the playing group,” Walsh said.
“I look forward to seeing him grow as footballer, leader and person.”
Walker has played 84 games for the Crows since making his debut against Collingwood in 2009.
