10. Brenton Sanderson (Adelaide Crows)
Many expected Adelaide to play finals, but they are currently sitting a game outside with four games to play. Sanderson combines modern tactics with quality man-management but even he would have expected more from 2014.
9. Guy McKenna (Gold Coast Suns)
McKenna has done well to oversee the Suns’ rapid improvement and at one stage his side looked on track for an unprecedented top six finish. His heavy reliance on Gary Ablett has come back to bite him as the Suns struggle with a Plan B. Still in with a finals chance, but it doesn’t look likely.
