Scott has done well to manage a side said to be on the decline and keep them within touch of a double-chance in the finals series. He has shown to be a tactically astute coach and that will count for plenty in September.

Would have been listed at no.1 at the same time last season, the Dockers poor start combined with a late-season drop in form now puts the club in danger of dropping out of the top four.
