With just four rounds to play of the AFL season, the fight for a finals spot is heating up with twelve teams jostling for finals positions, whether it be a top four spot for a double chance, or a scrap for the finals places.
The top eight was almost set in stone a few weeks ago, but major upsets in during the Round 18 split weekend and Round 19 have turned the finals race on its head.
Richmond looked dead and buried a month ago, but a strong back end to the year has the Tigers sitting just two games out of the eight and looking to make a late, late charge in September football.
Gold Coast on the other hand were set for an unprecedented top six spot before an injury to star captain Gary Ablett resulted in a downward spiral for Guy McKenna’s men, and now they are in a very real danger of missing the eight altogether.
But just how could the race for finals play out?
