Can Fremantle nab a top two spot?
After a poor start to the year, last year’s Grand Finalists looked a shadow of their 2013 form and many had begun to write off their 2014 campaign.
An 11-match winning run had critics rescinding their words as the Dockers began to destroy all in its path before it all came to a crashing halt against the lowly Saints in Round 18.
They may have beaten Carlton last week, but they were far from convincing and needed a last-minute goal to knock off Mick Malthouse’s side.
Quite simply, if Fremantle want a home final they must beat Geelong this weekend. Anything other than a win and they can kiss their top two hopes goodbye, and with Port Adelaide sitting just four points behind, they could even lose their double chance.
Remember, the Dockers have to face the rampaging Hawks the week later who you would think would make easy work of the Dockers in current form.
