The AFL need to re-think Brownlow Medal rules
Fremantle’s Nathan Fyfe put it yet another stellar performance and is a very good chance to top the Brownlow Medal votes in September.
But because of a contentious high-bump in Round 2, he is ineligible to win the most prestigious individual award in AFL football.
To rule out a player of such an award for such a minor incident is harsh in the extreme and the AFL must review its rules.
