Hulk could be on his way from Zenit after just one season in Russia.
Zenit St Petersburg forward Hulk could be making a move from Russia just 12 months after signing for the side for £50m, with the Brazilian’s agent hinting at a transfer.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with the powerful attacker and have reportedly already put a £35m bid on the table for the 26-year-old.
However, with newly promoted Ligue 1 side AS Monaco flexing their financial muscles this summer – signing Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez for a combined fee of £110m – Hulk may skip the Premier League in favour of the Principality.
Whilst Hulk’s representative Jose Caldeira is keeping his cards close to his chest, the agent has given a further hint that the Brazil international could be on the move in this upcoming transfer window.
“We can’t announce anything at the moment, the player is focusing on the Confederations Cup and nothing will be made official during this period,” Caldeira was quoted on Sky Sports.
“France is a possibility, but there are others. Everything is possible.”
Hulk has scored 13 goals and provided eight assists since his move to the Russian league from FC Porto in 2012, as well as having earned 23 caps for Brazil in his career and netting six times.
With such a hefty bid needed to tempt Zenit into selling their prized possession only sides with the financial clout of Chelsea and Monaco could afford to buy and pay the attacker, although the Ligue 1 side’s tax laws could make them a more attractive prospect for Hulk.
