The Kansas State Wildcats will take on the UCLA Bruins in the Alamo Bowl, and both teams are seeking to finish their season with 10 wins.
No. 11 Kansas State is hoping to redeem the reputation of the Big 12 as they hold a 1-4 record in bowl games, and they will face No. 14 UCLA.
UCLA will look to keep the momentum rolling for the Pac-12, who has performed the best of all the conferences in bowl games with a 5-1 record.
The Wildcats are coming off a 38-27 loss to Baylor, which dropped their record to 9-3. Quarterback Jake Waters threw for 300 yards with two touchdowns and an interception on 22-of-27 passing.
Wide receiver Tyler Lockett caught a season-high 14 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown, increasing his totals to 93 receptions, 1,351 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
Meanwhile, the Bruins are coming off a 31-10 loss to Stanford after having an opportunity to win the Pac-12 South.
Quarterback Brett Hundley was held to 146 yards and a touchdown pass, but running back Paul Perkins performed well with 116 rushing yards on 17 carries.
The Bruins defense will face a major test against the Wildcats offense, and they have struggled with 27.5 points allowed per game. The Wildcats have had an overall solid defense that ranks 24th in the nation with, and their offense has scored 35.8 points per game.
