2. Chelsea
Both of Chelsea’s Belgians were nominated for individual honours after their Premier League triumph last season, with Eden Hazard running away with a PFA Player and Young Player of the Year double.
The Blues can also boast of having one of the top goalkeepers in the world, with Thibaut Courtois good enough for the champions to be comfortable parting with Petr Cech to rivals Arsenal.
1. Tottenham Hotspur
It is strength in numbers which sees Spurs pip their London rivals to first place. Alderweireld is expected to partner compatriot and ex-Ajax teammate Jan Vertonghen in defence next campaign.
And Mauricio Pochettino can also call upon winger Nacer Chadli, who scored 13 goals in all competitions last term, and midfielder Mousa Dembele – arguably the most talented of the bunch.
